In the midst of yet another airline going missing, I have purchased my plane ticket to New York! I’m not sure if this should call for panic or sheer excitement. I’m beginning to think I would be better off driving to Syracuse instead of risking going missing at 35,000 feet never to be found.
So, the my plane tickets are booked. Now for the fun part: planning a trip to NYC! I cannot get over just how much there is to do there. It’s a little overwhelming! Due to our short stay, we are going to have to cram to get to see everything that we want to. As I began my research, I couldn’t figure out what would be the best way for Cindy and I to compile our list of touristy things we want to do and then narrow it down to things we both want to do/see. That’s when it hit me: Google Maps.
I cannot stress to you how great of a tool Google Maps is. While this is the first time I have actually pinned points of interest, etc. to it for use, I use Google Maps all of the time, especially for my job.
So, above I have a map that is zoomed in on New York (Manhattan). As you can see, I have pinned different Points of Interest (Yellow), Shopping (blue), and the hotel – The Roosevelt (Red) we are looking at. Once I have Cindy’s added, we will be able to narrow down our “To-See” list! She doesn’t know it yet, but I just gave her access to edit it and add her To-Do List. CINDY IF YOU’RE READING THIS, CHECK YOUR EMAIL! I am anxiously awaiting to see what she will add to the map so we can get this trip planning under way!
If any of you have any suggestions on where to eat, see, go, please feel free to comment below! We are both first-timers to NYC and could use all the help we can get! I look forward to reading your comments!
Update: Green pins are now on our for-sure-have-to-see list. More on that later!
